Order of the Phoenix; Centaur Rig
Centaur Rig Creation
Probably one of the more complex game character rigs that I created for the 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix' project.
Main challenge was keeping it easy to animate with and clean to export in to our game builds.
Rig optimizing using a fig filter during character export in to the game engine.

Lighting & Shader Development
SMG very much wanted to push the envelope of their tech, although we had to keep this within our memory limits.
As shaders can be very expensive performance wise, I had to ensure that our CG and GLSL shaders were optimised as much as possible.

R&D Facial Rigging
Facial Rigging
Created a bones based facial setup to fit within our Surgeon character.
Rather than using 'morph targets' as we wanted to explore the possibilities of working with facial MoCap data within our Animation Pipeline.

Knight Modelling
& Rigging
Knight Rig
Character for a historical Post Production project.
Created, character model, texturing, rigging, lighting & look development work for the project scenes renders.
Finally character was then animated and composited in to live action scene.

Character Creation
& CG Fur
Rock Cats
Created for a Web 3 project involving groovy cats animated and realistically rendered with guitars, and other musical instruments.
I developed the fur look, along with the lighting system, using XGen and rendered with Arnold in Maya.

Rock Cats
The character were created to handle a variety of stage props including musical instruments, for which I lit, animated and rendered for various stage scenes.

Character Development
Stages
With the character rig setup, I wanted to give the characters the pull a variety of facial expressions to allow them to sing etc.

Created stage scene for our home page cover art for Rock Cats

Image above provides and example of each character development stage; from sculpting the mesh, to fur groom to final textured and lit render.
